Thought for the Month

In memory of the work inspired by Jo Cox MP in promoting women’s health and wellbeing

The terrible death of Jo Cox MP on 16th June 2016 brings home to everybody how the threads of civilised society can be broken, but how they can also be restored and re-woven. Women’s Health Concern, together with our ‘parent’ charity, the British Menopause Society, send her family, friends, colleagues and local communities our heartfelt condolences.

In tribute to Jo we would like to run women’s health workshops in her constituency. If you are a health professional or a member of a local women’s group and would like to help please contact WHC.

See our archive of previous workshops for examples of our highly rated programmes.

Key Objectives

To provide a lively, interactive workshop to help you stay healthy and active in your ‘middle years’.

Attendance

We prefer sessions to be from 30 to 60 ‘delegates’ and to be informal. Previous workshops have been attended by women ranging in age from 32 to 74. Men are also welcome although our experience is that a majority of women prefer their husbands or partners not to attend!
