This service offers a cost effective benefits package to employees of small and medium sized firms that have a majority of women on their staff.

It can be tailored to larger companies where only selected employees receive health benefits or where back up is helpful for the internal Occupational Health specialist.

The service, which can be tailored to an individual organisation’s requirements, can include, for instance:

  • a dedicated telephone advice line
  • personal email service
  • a private company log-in area on this website with health updates
  • a user’s forum
  • monthly visit to the company office by a specialist nurse
  • quarterly in-depth talks and discussions with a leading medical specialist .

RPCushing, a privately-owned recruitment company, signed up to a tailored Health Advisory Service with Women’s Health Concern and the feedback from the employees was all positive:

“This is a brilliant scheme. The advice and reassurance I am given by the WHC specialist nurses makes me much more confident to see my GP –    and I’m probably a better patient because of it.”

“It’s really helpful to talk in confidence to WHC about some sensitive personal health and contraception issues relating to my partner and me.”

“This new Health Advisory Service is giving me real comfort. I have easy access to fact sheets and specialist web information on some of the health issues that concern me and my family. I am grateful to the company for giving this benefit. All of us at R P Cushing Recruitment – including the men – really appreciate it.”

Message from chief executive

Regrettably this service is currently unavailable as we are unable to offer the necessary level of professional medical support.
However the BMS-WHC does provide a more limited advisory service to businesses and voluntary organisations. For more information please enquire through the office.
