A stand-alone menopause theory course.
This course also provides the theory component of the BMS Principles & Practice of Menopause Care training programme or the FSRH Menopause Special Skills training module.

Overview: This stand-alone theory course will enhance the practice and clinical confidence of registered healthcare professionals working in menopause care, including those working in community, primary and secondary care settings. It also provides the theory component of the BMS Principles & Practice of Menopause Care training programme or the FSRH Menopause Special Skills training module. It will explain the evidence base and encourage a reflective and pragmatic approach. Delegates will learn to apply their new knowledge in a way that is relevant to their working environment.

A certificate of completion will be issued at the end of the course and it carries 12 CPD credits.

Virtual course format: Delegates will have access to pre-recorded videos of the seven module lectures, with lecture slides, from 19 February to 5 March 2021. They can watch the lectures at a time convenient for them and they will be able to submit questions via the BMS website for discussion during the Zoom Q&A sessions (there will also be the opportunity to ask questions on the day).

The course facilitators will then host a one day series of Zoom Q&A/case discussion sessions on Wednesday 3 March 2021 – please click on the link below to see the full virtual course programme.

The programme includes a Q&A session for each of the seven modules together with HRT product and case discussion sessions. This allows delegates plenty of opportunity to clarify information in the lecture videos and reinforce their learning.

Who should attend: The course is aimed at doctors, nurses and pharmacists (GMC/NMC/GPhC registered) who work regularly in the field of women’s health.
Fees: £475 (includes a copy of the BMS handbook Management of the Menopause 6th edition)
Booking: This course is now FULL.

Further courses are being planned in 2021. You can register your interest so the BMS will contact you as soon as dates are available:
