A stand-alone menopause theory course.

Overview:

This stand-alone theory course will enhance the practice and clinical confidence of registered healthcare professionals working in menopause care, including those working in community, primary and secondary care settings. It also provides the theory component of the BMS Principles & Practice of Menopause Care training programme or the FSRH Menopause Special Skills training module. It will explain the evidence base and encourage a reflective and pragmatic approach. Delegates will learn to apply their new knowledge in a way that is relevant to their working environment.

A certificate of attendance will be issued at the end of the course and it carries 12 CPD credits.

Virtual course format:

Delegates will have access to pre-recorded videos of the seven module lectures, with lecture slides, for three weeks from 20 November to 11 December2020. They can watch the lectures at a time convenient for them and they will be able to submit questions via the BMS website for discussion during the Q&A webinars (there will also be the opportunity to ask questions on the day).

The course facilitators will then host a one day series of Zoom webinars on Friday 4 December 2020 – please click on the link below to see the full virtual meeting programme. The programme includes a Q&A session for each of the seven modules together with HRT product and case discussion sessions. This allows delegates plenty of opportunity to clarify information in the lecture videos and reinforce their learning.
