Overview:Testosterone – who, when and why?

  • With more requests and enquiries about testosterone, when should we be prescribing? Feel confident about explaining the latest guidance and evidence about testosterone use in women to patients, discussing risks and benefits, in addition to practical prescribing (what to prescribe, how to use, monitoring and troubleshooting issues/abnormal results) and non-responders.

Bleeding and progestogens

  • We know that up to 40% of women will experience unscheduled bleeding on HRT and that many gynaecology departments have seen a huge increase in referrals for investigation and management of this issue. We will look at how to investigate and manage unscheduled bleeding, when to refer and top tips for management.

Menopause – an often missed risk factor for migraine

  • How often do you ask women with menopause symptoms about their headaches? Armed with tools to help you quickly diagnose migraine and a better knowledge of the link between menopause and migraine, and the effects of giving the wrong type of HRT, you’ll be able to better manage women through the menopause transition.

The menopause café carries 3 CPD credits.
