WHC thanks Jeanie Linders and all the team at the Shaw Theatre for making our Menopause the Musical Charity Gala Evening on 12 April a really special occasion.
Thanks to all our supporters who bought tickets and contributed to the bucket collection – and our particular gratitude to Jeanie, the inspiration behind the Show, who on stage announced that in addition to all the proceeds from the Charity Evening, she was donating an additional £2,000 to Women’s Health Concern.
Menopause the Musical is great entertainment and, as our Chief Exec confirms, entirely suitable for men as well as women!
Jeanie Linders is the most remarkable lady. It takes quite extraordinary courage, not to mention vision, to turn a subject like the menopause in to such a wonderfully funny show – and I might suggest, an educative show, as well. I am filled with admiration for her, her talented cast, and for everyone involved in the night’s fabulous entertainment.
And I am thrilled and so grateful that she should have chosen to donate the benefits from the 12 April performance to Women’s Health Concern. No charity could be more appropriate or more deserving.
