Volunteering
Women's Health Concern relies heavily on voluntary support, notably from the board of trustees and the medical advisory panel. They give their time and their talent entirely free as do many others from the medical and other professions. In 2007 more than 100 such people offered their expertise and experience to the charity.
In addition members of the staff, all of whom are employed part time, commit to additional hours on a voluntary basis to fulfil our work.
Students are encouraged to gain work experience through our intern scheme.
WHC can also benefit from voluntary support in the following areas:
- Research
- Case studies
- Finance
- Fundraising, marketing and communications
- Media liaison
- HR
- Office – book keeping; reception; secretarial.
Please contact the chief executive if you would like to consider helping WHC as a volunteer.
